Back at it
I decided to join #The100DayProject
I joined #The100DayProject, which began on February 22. The idea is simple but long: choose a project, do it every day for 100 days, and share the process along the way. For this project, my goal is to do something in the mini sketchbook every day. It might be a quick sketch, inking an old drawing, or add color/finishing touches to pages I once abandoned (there are many of those.) So I started with a few old drawings in my mini sketchbook that were already inked but never painted.
I’m not putting too much pressure on the posting part — maybe updates every week or two, but I do want to see if I can show up to the sketchbook daily. One hundred days feels long and daunting, but the sketchbook is small so I tell myself it doesn’t have to be.
Mostly, I’m curious what might happen if I draw more instinctively , without overthinking it. I tend to think a lot before I draw, researching or gathering references first. I’m hoping this helps me loosen up and trust my hand a little more.
We’ll see what unfolds.
